Get More Energy into Your Life

Author: Leslie Gail

Do you ever feel like you are literally dragging throughout the day? Do you feel like no matter what you do, you are still running on empty? How much more productive and enthusiastic are you in your life when you have the energy behind it? And no, a java midday won't solve all your problems, I've already tried that. What have you tried in the past to bring more energy into your life? Have you noticed that it is hard to feel down and unproductive when you have good energy? The energy propels you forward and you feel like you can tackle just about anything. I know personally when I wake up with energy, I am more "plugged" in to all the different areas of my life. I am able to be fully present, living in the moment. I can multitask the professional responsibilities while saving room for afive mile bike ride with my children.

By implementing some simple tips into your life you can change the way you experience everything. Again, nothing is a quick fix, you need to change your lifestyle. I don't believe in placing a bandaid on the situationin hopes of everything getting better and brighter. Think long term and the results will be worth it.

ACTION STEPS FOR THE WEEK:

1. Good Nutrition

Take a good look at your eating habits. I know this seems like an obvious one, but take the time to invest in this area. How much water are you drinking? Do you fill your body with sugar and processed foods? This is the most important step in gaining more energy in your life.

2. Clutter

Look at your environment this week. Is there clutter in your office? In your home? Are there piles making their way around your home? The clutter, both physical and emotional, will block your energy. It is depleting, the space it takes in your mind. Commit to organizing or getting rid of the clutter once and for all. Pick an area to focus on, set a timer, and get to work.

3. Procrastination

Have you ever noticed that it takes far more energy thinking about what you need to do than the act of just doing it? It is physically draining the amount of energy it takes to remember to do something, remembering to call someone, remembering to run to the store. Half the time the act itself takes little to no time at all once you just do it. This week accomplish something you've been putting off.

Have a great week!
