The second thing you want to think about when selecting a Voip provider is the features you will get. What is important to you in terms of call features? Do you need voicemail? Features like voicemail and call waiting are not universal to Voip plans, so you should make sure you know what you want and what is being offered as you go into a relationship with a provider.
Not all Voip providers offer emergency services or E911 access. If you plan to make your Voip phone the primary phone in your home, then you should try to select one that is offering E911 as a service.
